Smith’s Law: “Murphy was an optimist.” I was always interested in airplanes. They’re really nothing more than glorified weapons, anyway. And that’s how I became interested in army stuff, because I saw it decaying everywhere, in the dumps and places like that. That was even better than army maneuvers: decaying weaponry. It confirmed and validated my anti-war, anti-army, anti-aggression sentiments. I still love airplanes, especially in peaceful places.
