Show Your Hope: I believe that one of art's function is to propose "new
worlds" different from the ones we already knew. Art makes us pay
attention to things we normally take for granted.Moreover, it shows us
a way out when things becomes unbearable. Art is our last refuge whereby
knowing what we like is an acceptable excuse for not knowing more...It
is a promise of discovery, a surprize and above all a promise of HOPE.
Story SHOW HOPE painting 1 No pissing here!: "In the Philippines there are no public toilets. People can piss everywhere, shacks or inner-city, everywhere. So people put on little papers 'do not piss here'. It means respect my place. And these are local problems but the situation is similar in the big world. Philippines also ask the American not to piss in our back garden. Hope is about possibilities. I hope the respect will grow, on any level." |
