Story SHOW HOPE : 'A woman and chickens. It looks like the woman doesn't belong here. In The Netherlands fugitives are not allowed to work or study. Except for that time
the chicken-plague broke out and in every refugee-centre people were run in
and were forced to wipe out 20 million potentially contaminated chickens.
Since then chickens are a metaphor for fugitives. A fugitive doesn't want to be here. He wants to be home, wherever that is. Thus, when the woman or the chickens want to leave without money, papers, permission and destination,
they have to stand together; they have to learn how to fly. '
